The Castellane champagne tower
0
0
Built between 1903 and 1905, the Castellane tower in Epernay is a symbol of the champagne trade. It faces the Avenue de Champagne (Champagne Avenue) and sits 216 ft high (66 m). Intended as an advertising building for the Castellane estate, its Art Nouveau style made it a historical monument. All over the tower, ceramic panels display the names of major cities where champagne used to be distributed.
