Combining elegance with remarkable road holding, the Bugatti Type 46 was among the fastest cars upon its release. The vehicle's three-speed gearbox and weight (2,500 lbs / 1,134 kg) made it fairly difficult to drive. Despite this, it remained one of Ettore Bugatti's favorites. Between 1929 and 1936, his factories produced 444 copies of this model that constitutes one of the highlights of the Cité de l'Automobile's collection.
