The village of Bouzy is located in the Montagne de Reims Regional Nature Park. Founded in 1980, the ‘Confrérie des Echevins de Bouzy’ (Brotherhood of the Bouzy Aldermen) brings together fifteen or so winegrowers who have set themselves the mission of “defending and promoting the wines of Bouzy”. The aldermen carry on the medieval tradition of welcoming and initiating people from outside their profession. They have created a discovery tour of the Bouzy vineyards. Each year, they organise a “chapter” and induct honorary members, politicians, or personalities from the world of entertainment.
