The beach of Pointe Marin

The Martinican beach of Pointe Marin extends just before the town of Sainte-Anne along the tip that marks the entrance to the Baie du Marin. Pointe Marin constitutes the lock of land that closes the Baie du Marin. It is bordered by a long white sand beach that stretches for 0.9 miles (1.5 km) between the Sainte-Anne cemetery and the Les Boucaniers Club Med established in the 1960s. Oriented west, it faces the Baie de Sainte-Anne and offers a panorama on the reliefs of southern Martinique: Morne Gommier, Pointe Borgnèse, and Morne Aca, the Femme Couchée (Morne Larcher), and, in the distance, the Rocher du Diamant.
