The basic diet in stables
0
0
After drying, hay contains little cellulose and all the more nitrogenous matter it has leaves. Its digestibility is therefore good enough to make it the basic diet for the cows in stabling. However, hay should not be placed as it is on the ground but distributed in dedicated troughs. It must also be protected from humidity to prevent it from molding and becoming a possible source of intoxication.
