Located at the top of the Castanière hill near the coast, the Corbières de la Narbonnaise Park is known for its wind turbines. This energy source is precious, especially at a time of global warming, and France benefits from the second-largest wind farm in Europe. The Corbières de la Narbonnaise supplied about 25 million kilowatts in 2007, the equivalent of the annual consumption of 10,000 people. With the installation of other wind turbines since then, energy production keeps increasing.
