The ambassadors of their breed

The Center for the Valorization of Norman Equidae at the Haras National du Pin welcomes Percheron horses (photo) and Norman cobs. They are selected among the best of their generation to become the ambassadors for their breed and promote the use of draft horses of Norman breeds. They are trained there and marketed for shows, leisure, and competition as well as to respond to new uses of horse energy and support territorial and utility horse projects. These horses are used in particular for the maintenance of natural and urban spaces, for equestrian guards (police, gendarmerie), for the transport of people as well as in agriculture for traction, market gardening, and maintenance of vineyards.
