Mouflon’s playground
In Corsica, the massif of Bavella is a hostile area that the mouflon chose as a playground. Six thousand years ago, men introduced it to the island as a domestic animal. In the 20th century, they were no more than a hundred individuals. This emblematic animal of the Isle of Beauty has long been hunted but it is nowadays classified as a protected species and lives in the wild in the heart of this Cordillera.
