The telemetric tracking of lynxes using radio collars, supplemented by the photographic trapping and photo identification of the individuals, makes it possible to know the geographical distribution, territories, movements and numbers of the species. Since its beginnings in 1982, it has enabled to establish the regular and constant increase in the area of presence of the boreal lynx (Lynx lynx carpathicus) at the national level even if it remains at 80% located in the Jura massif.
