The shape of the teeth and the size of the jaws are adapted to the diet. thanks to their long and pointed canines, lions catch and kill their preys. Their premolars and molars, flattened and sharp, act like scisors to cut the meat. Their tong is very rough and helps them to separate the meat from the bones.
