Grande-Terre, the main island with a very marked relief of New Caledonia, abounds in waterfalls. Mainly located in the heart of the Central Chain, not all of them are accessible on foot, unlike that of Tao (photo) which is reached after a short approach walk of half an hour. You can then cool off in the many natural water holes present at its base.
