The ten wood and metal structures pointing towards the sky of the Tjibaou cultural center (CCT) are 'memories of huts' organized in 'three villages' around a long central alley, thus respecting the traditional dispersion of the Kanak habitat. The 'Kanak path' which surrounds them refers to the symbiosis of the Kanak soul with nature. It crosses a garden planted with useful or symbolic species on the Tina peninsula.
