Since the development of its wine-growing activity from the 1960s, the Château Malherbe estate in the Var department has been committed to an environmental approach concerned with the preservation of natural balances. Its vineyards grow thanks to organic farming, which means that synthetic chemicals are excluded both in the vineyard and during the wine elaboration in the cellars. The grapes develop without artificial treatment nor insecticide, and the amount of input (products supplied) used for winemaking is limited to what is strictly necessary in order to preserve nature as well as the health of the winegrowers and consumers. Since 2019, the estate has also converted to biodynamics.
