Monitoring the ecosystems

The glacial cirques of the lac Noir (Black lake) and the lac Blanc (White lake) are part of the Two Lakes Biological Reserve (RDB). As such, they benefit from specific forest management. Monitoring of the natural evolution of ecosystems has been set up with vigilance regarding the planting of species. It also aims towards the restoration of coniferous plantations. The RDB is adjacent, on the Vosges' side, to the Tanet-Gazon-du-Faing National Reserve.
