Built in the 16th century, the Saint-James-and-Saint-Philip Church of Lentilles is singular. Stone being scarce in the Aube region, men built churches with the same materials as their houses, out of mud, cob, and wood. It is omnipresent on the building, and chestnut tiles cover the walls of the main entrance. It is surmounted by a statue of Saint James carrying a pilgrim's staff, a shell attached to the front of his headdress. The Way of Saint James passes through the Aube towards Compostela.
