Over a short period, the 37 acres (15 ha) of Lake Servières in the Puy-de-Dôme department served as a gigantic aging cellar. It welcomed nearly 300 bottles of wine, submerged at a depth of 65 ft (20m) between 2014 and 2016. At the end of the experiment, on October 16, 2016, 250 bottles were found and brought up from the lake's waters by the divers of Riom club.
