The sleds can be made of wood - usually ash but also birch, oak or maple - or aluminum and composite materials like here. Their relatively simple structure is composed of different elements : the carrying base covered with a dog bag is placed on runners ; it has an adjustable handlebar and a brake in the rear, a snow anchor and a brush bow at the front.
