Stéphane Gagno (on the right) has been the assistant manager at the Tortoise Village since 1999. A graduate in Biological Engineering and Terrestrial Environmental Sciences, he holds several certificates of ability for chelonians (shelled reptiles) and certifications in animal experimentation and professional training for adults. Also specialized in captive wildlife, Stéphane Gagno is an expert within the departmental and national commissions for matters relating to regulations on the trade and possession of non-domestic animals. At once an animal manager, breeder, healer, trainer, author of books, and designer of scientific projects at the Tortoise Village, he is the indispensable right-hand man for the veterinarian Franck Bonin (on the left).
