Starting positions of varying prestige

Several large cocardiers bulls began their careers in Camargue racing starting last, although it is rare as the last animal to enter the track is usually a barricadier bull. It faces raseteurs tired by the previous six or seven bulls. This last clash extends for a maximum of 12 minutes, unlike the usual 15 minutes, hence the specificity of its stakes. The most prestigious position for a cocardier bull to start at is fourth. It opens the second part of the race after the intermission and faces rested raseteurs. The bull sent in fourth is usually the most intelligent and gifted of those present in the toril (bullpen).
