The stained-glass windows of Rouen Cathedral bring together works retracing the art of stained glass from the beginning of the 13th century to the end of the 20th century. All the stained-glass windows prior to the fire of 1200 have disappeared. Jenson Salvart, who became the master-builder of Rouen Cathedral in 1398, had the high windows of the choir enlarged in order to bring in more light. The cathedral has 52 windows divided into 12 from the 13th century, 22 from the 15th century, three from the 16th century, six from the 19th century, and nine from the 20th century.
