Water sports in New Caledonia
2
0
New Caledonia, and particularly the region of Nouméa on the main island of Grande-Terre, is a very favorable destination for kitesurfing and windsurfing. The winds, which are mainly trade winds on the west coast, blow between 15 and 20 knots, rising to 25-30 knots when they combine with thermals and the weather is mild all year round. The best season for the practice of these water sports is from November to March.
