Spectacular nests

The nesting, fully executed by male weavers, is very spectacular. The male weaver chooses thin branches on which it weaves and attaches the nest. It selects materials that are easy to weave or fold, such as fresh and soft grass. Once finished, the nest is more or less ovoid depending on the species. The unique nest opening is located on the lower part of the nest, in order to make access more difficult to predators.
