The most important room of the Metallurgic Park is the casting hall, which houses the massive blast furnace that operated from 1835 to 1885 at the Dommartin-le-Franc foundry. It has been classified in the Additional Inventory of Historical Monuments since 1986. The blast furnace was saved and rehabilitated by the Association for the Safeguarding and Promoting of the Upper-Marne Metallurgical Heritage (ASPM). A scenography shows all the steps of the casting process, from the loading of the blast furnace to a simulation of a casting flow.
