At the Fonderie Cornille-Havard in Villedieu-les-Poêles, in Normandy, contemporary artists are called upon to decorate the new bells. Marc-Antoine Orellana designed the ornaments for three bells intended for the cathedral of Sées. He had already collaborated with Cornille-Havard for the tenor bell of Bayonne cathedral and the carillon of Sainte-Jeanne de Chantal in Paris. More geometrical, his designs drive the bells out of religious symbolism with creativity.
