Solitary female

0
When she becomes fertile at around two years old, the female cheetah leaves the family group to start its solitary life. Less territorial than males, she occupies her own territory, that may overlap with territories of familiar females. She will only break this loneliness to mate during her periods of oestrus and the time to raise alone her litters.
