Sketches from Marc Chagall

The Centre Pompidou-Metz dedicates an exhibit to the importance of stained-glass work in Marc Chagall's career. To create his work, he associated his Russian and Jewish cultures with his imagination. He also used to say that he dreamt the Bible rather than illustrated it. Brigitte Simon and Charles Marq supplemented his work as a painter with that of their glassmaking family tradition. The exhibition The light carrier present Chagall's preparatory sketches and allow the public to follow his creative process and artistic universe.
