The Provençal Colorado of Rustrel corresponds to a gigantic ocher deposit located on the site of old quarries now reclaimed by nature. Nestled in a forest of maritime pines, it is strewn with discreet vestiges that recall that the local industrial activity employed no less than six generations of ocher quarriers and miners in the 19th and 20th centuries. Three successive hotspots - the Sahara, the Fairy Chimneys, and the White Desert - allow visitors to immerse themselves in the heart of its geological formations and its colors igniting in the evening light.
