The Silvertip shark (Carcharhinus albimarginatus) is a semi-pelagic shark with a massive silhouette generally living below 98ft (30m). It is characterized by the white borders of its dorsal, anal, pelvic and caudal fins which glisten underwater, explaining its English name. In addition to the winding swim of all sharks, it practices an intimidating contortion swim with amplified movements specific to certain species.
