Each participant in the events of 'patia fa' competes with his own javelins which he has made and marked with a sign of recognition to find them after the series of throws. He needs ten javelins for each 7mn throwing round. Each competitor therefore has his own set of javelins streaked or colored like sticks of mikado since all the throws take place simultaneously.
