André Ragot est né à Reims en 1892, décédé en 1981. Après des études à Reims à l'Ecole régionale des arts industriels, il est reçu en 1912 à l'Ecole nationale des arts décoratifs à Paris. Après la 1ère guerre, il reprend ses études à Paris. Il obtient son diplôme d'architecte en 1923 et effectue sa carrière à Reims et Charleville. Il est un important architecte de la reconstruction de Reims dans l'entre-deux-guerres. Il est le gendre de Paul Dupuis et le cousin d'Eugène Auger.
