The shades of color of the frangipani (Plumeria) flowers depend on their varieties. They can be white, yellow, pink, red, purple or even hybrids with salmon and orange tones. The genus Plumeria includes eight species : 'rubra' for red flowers, 'alba' and 'pudica' for white ones, 'acuminata' for very fragrant pinkish white flowers... not to mention 'inodora', 'obtusa', 'stenopetala' and 'stenophylla'.
