The Shabadran terraces, on the south coast of Maré Island, are located on customary land of the Kurine tribe. Their access is chargeable - around 4000CFP (33€) per person - and guided from the house of Damas Bearune. The excursion requires the day with 2h30 per trip and 3h spent on site. Departure takes place at 8 a.m., return at 4:30 p.m. You can also bivouac on site for 5000CFP (41€) per person and participate in a night hunt for coconut crabs.
