Septmoncel-les-Molunes is a small municipality in Jura, born from the fusion of the municipalities of Septmoncel and Molunes. It stretches over 1,940 hectares at an average altitude of 3,038 feet (926 meters). It is part of the Haut-Jura Regional Nature Park and of the Haut-Jura Saint-Claude community of municipalities. In 2018, it had 814 inhabitants called the ‘Septmoncelands’.
