The Jaguar is the result of an agreement signed in 1965 between the British and French Ministries of Defence. An international company, SEPECAT (European Company for the Production of Combat and Tactical Support Aircraft), produced the aircraft in several versions. Each air force ordered 200 examples. The Jaguar A91 in the Air and Space Museum was delivered to the 11th fighter squadron in Toul in 1977. The single-seat tactical fighter participated in operations in Africa, during the Gulf War and in the former Yugoslavia. In 2005, the last Jaguars of the French Air Force were withdrawn and replaced by Rafales.
