To travel from one place to another, Inuit people used sleds made of animal bones and skins pulled over the snow and ice by dogs. Strong dogs with thick fur like huskies, bred by Inuit people, were used. Today, they use sleds made of wood that has been imported and pulled by snowmobiles most of the time, or quads.
