The beach of Vaucottes sees its cliff, known as the Roche aux Anglais, advancing into the English Channel on the Côte d'Albâtre (Alabaster Coast). Plateaus, valleys, and valleuses constitute the three faces of the coast. In Vaucottes, it widens and discovers a pebble beach even more apparent at low tide and ideal for shellfishing (whelks, mussels). The cliff or Nez de Vaucottes (Vaucotte Nose) sees its sedimentary chalk and flint layers eroding with the rainwater and the currents boring into it at its base.
