Lenca people are the main pre-Columbian civilization of Honduras. Lenca language is extinct and their culture has evolved over the centuries but Lencas perpetuate their traditional skills to preserve their identity and provide for their needs. Pottery is made by forming a clay body into an object of a required shape which becomes strength and hardening when heated to high temperatures.
