The emblematic jetty of Saint-Malo, the 'Môle des Noires', shelters a first beach - the beach of the Môle - protected from the wind and very popular with summer visitors despite the slight undertow which generates a current throughout its advance. Then come Bon Secours beach and its seawater swimming pool, Eventail beach at the foot of the ramparts and the 'Grande Plage du Sillon'. Considered one of the most beautiful beaches in France, this 1.8 miles (3 km) beach of white sand stretches from Fort National to the tip of Rochebonne.
