Saint-Cirq-Lapopie, overlooking the Lot river
0
0
Around 328 feet (100 m) above a bend in the Lot river, Saint-Cirq-Lapopie almost merges into the cliff. The arrival in the village, at the rising sun, highlights the landscape. The commune consists of blond facades, half-timbered houses with sloping brown tiled roofs. The local towpath running along it is carved in limestone. Finally, a fortified bell tower, with a Romanesque chapel and a terrace, dominates the village and offers an open view over the valley.
