Safety on the ski slopes depends both on the slopes’ layout and on skiers’ attitudes. At the Mont-Dore as in the other resorts, security is ensured by a specially trained team comprised mostly of ski patrollers and avalanche dog handlers. First aid stations are distributed over the ski area – itself divided and classified by runway names and tag numbers – which allow ski patrollers to respond to accidents and provide first aid quickly.
