The Tellure Mining Park offers a chance to relive the history of silver mining and the typical day of a 16th century miner. Thanks to 800 m² of museographic spaces, reconstructed scenes, and a visit to an authentic silver mine preserved in its natural environment. For the more athletic, a tangle of cables and ropes allows you to experience an underground via ferrata unique in Europe. The exploitation of silver ore began in the Vosges mountains in the Middle Ages. But it was the discovery of new silver veins in the 16th century that brought new prosperity to the Sainte-Marie-aux-Mines valley.
