Vue sur l’océan depuis la route des laves, aussi appelé le Grand Brûlé. Longues de plusieurs kilomètres, les coulés plongent parfois dans l’océan pour redessiner le paysage ou agrandir l’île. À ciel ouvert les laves ondulées, ou drapées se dévoilent. En souterrain les tunnels de laves sont là face cachés de ce paysage unique.
Cette zone fait partie du patrimoine de l’Unesco.
