Roussillon and its Saint-Michel church

Integrated by its color and its architecture to the rest of the village, Saint-Michel church is located at the top of Roussillon inside the fortifications. Rebuilt in freestone from the end of the 11th century until the middle of the 12th century, it is dedicated to the patron saint of the town, the Archangel Saint-Michel. Its current facade dates from the 17th century. Its baptismal font, framed by a stone baldachin created by the local sculptor Alexis Poitevin in 1791, is classified as an object by the French Ministry of Culture.
