Hay is stored in different ways in the stables of La Grange de la Haute Vallée. The round bales are more generally used in temperate zones but are more difficult to store. Hay is thus sometimes stored in denser and more easily stackable rectangular stacks. The main distinction between them is their density, ranging from 220 lbs/m3 (100 kg/m3) for the smallest ones to 440 lbs/m3 (200 kg/m3) for the larger ones.
