Dendriopoterium pulidoi es un endemismo grancanario. Es una rosácea que florece de febrero a mayo. Se diferencia de la otra especie del género Dendriopoterium menendezii Svent., por tener las estípulas dentadas y laciniadas y por el mayor tamaño de los frutos, que pueden alcanzar los 5 mm. Se conoce como algafitón de La Aldea. Esta especie se incluye en el Catálogo Canario de Especies Protegidas, como vulnerable.
