Gulf of Porto's magmatic rocks

To the west of Corsica, on the seafront of the Regional Natural Park of Corsica, an incredible nature reserve extends over 80 km. From Piana to Galéria, it is the first reserve of France both maritime and terrestrial. The Gulf of Girolata, the Scandola reserve and the coves of Piana have been listed as UNESCO World Heritage sites since 1983 under the name Gulf of Porto. The site is covered with magmatic rocks, as 2/3 of the island below the line from Calvi to Solenzara.
