The Cotentin donkey (Equus asinus) keeps its soft foal’s stuffing until the age of one, which makes it a very popular animal with children. Its adorable white muzzle gives it a soft plush look. The Cotentin donkey reaches adulthood between 3 and 4 years. Endowed with great patience, it is particularly useful as a mediator between a therapist and his patient. Donkey therapy is aimed at people suffering from neuromuscular pathologies (multiple sclerosis, hemiplegia, paraplegia, for example), cognitive pathologies (Alzheimer's disease), or psychological pathologies (autism in particular).
