Songdo Beach is a man-made beach in Busan, South Korea. It was created in 1913. The name Songdo (the Island of Pines) was given due to the thick pine forest covering the island. The beach, around 800 meters long and 50 meters wide, ranks the third most-visited beach in the city of Busan - after Haeundae and Gwangalli. It was the first one in Korea, and was developed by a company named Songdo Amusement Co., Ltd.
