The rippled rockskippers (Istiblennius edentulus) have an elongated body of 5.1 inches (13 cm) for females to 6.2 inches (16 cm) for males. Scaleless and of light gray color, they are striped with irregular vertical orange-brown bands. They have small filiform appendages called 'cirri' between their globular eyes.
