Nothing is lost, everything is useful - Linen in Upper-Normandy

Flax is a helpful plant: every part is useful and transformable. The rod will give the long fibers for the textile and short for the tow. The straw will be made into animal litter, heating material and compact boards. The seeds will be used the following year or they can also become oil, flour and cakes. Flax stems and their skins produce dust that will be transformed into compost to bring organic matter to the soils and lighten them. Nothing is lost and everything is created.
